What is to see in Turin
Elegant, fascinating and slightly mysterious, Turin has a reputation of being a dynamic and industrious city. But behind this modern look, it conceals many treasures to be discovered. For instance its historical Coffee houses where hot chocolate and the "bicerin" are customary. Or its squares: the drawing-rooms of the upper-class Turin.
There is a medieval Turin, between Porta Palazzo and the Duomo. There is a magic and esoteric Turin, between Piazza Castello, the Royal Palace and its gardens. The Turin of the kings tells you the story of the House of Savoy and of the Italian Unity. The Turin of Cinemas reveals you its artistic heart: a "must-see" is the National Museum of Cinema inside the "Mole Antonelliana". But art and history can be found also in its museums, among the ancient collections of the Egyptian Museum and among the masterpieces of the 20th century inside the "Galleria Civica di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea" (Municipal Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art).
Turin has many souls.
