On the outskirts of Turin stands one of the most important Savoy residences<\/strong> in Piedmont. At the foot of the Lanzo Valleys<\/strong> and abutting the woods of La Mandria Park<\/strong>, a favorite hunting ground of the Savoy family, shines the Reggia di Venaria Reale, an imposing complex of halls<\/strong>, galleries<\/strong> and apartments<\/strong>, gardens, fountains and water features, and perspectives. <\/p>\n

Seventeenth-century atmospheres come alive in the centerpiece of the Palace: the Hall of Diana<\/strong>. Court life in the multimedia fresco<\/strong> created by director Peter Greenaway and in the private apartments of the Savoy sovereigns. The 18th century in the parade route of the Palace of Kings. <\/p>\n

La Mandria Par<\/strong>k is the former hunting reserve of the House of Savoy<\/strong>. Near Turin, just 20 minutes from the hotel, and stretches from the gardens of the Royal Palace of Venaria Reale<\/strong> to the foothills of the Alps. <\/p>\n

It is the largest fenced park in Italy<\/strong> and the second largest in Europe. You can explore its more than three thousand hectare<\/strong>s on foot, by horse and carriage, by bicycle or with park guides. <\/p>\n

At La Mandria you will find trails for trekking<\/strong> and nordic walking<\/strong>. The park is home to deer, wild boar, fallow deer, foxes and hares in the wild and semi-wild state.
